CYEA History

This program recognizes, honours and celebrates exceptional young entrepreneurs who have started a business using creativity or have improved an existing business through innovative problem solving while adhering to the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award (JCI CYEA) was launched in 2005 worldwide by Junior Chamber International as their yearly program, was designed specifically to recognize and honour exceptionally creative young entrepreneurs in their success. In the year 2007, JCI Malaysia endorsed JCI CYEA as a national yearly project to provide a competitive platform for our creative young Malaysian to compete and for us to showcase the creative young entrepreneurs of the country. Besides that, the finalists shall be seen as role models to the public.

Our communities are full of young entrepreneurs who have used their imagination in solving problems and approaching the market. Creativity is the key element in this competition. One just needs to have an idea and to put it to practice, no matter how big or small the idea is.
